On a clear, brisk evening, I step outside for an evening run. The aroma of a wood-burning stove lingers in the air, a clear indicator that winter is fast approaching.
I cross the front lawn, which is spotted with the vibrant red leaves of the sugar Maple. The hollow crunch of the leaves beneath my feet offers a sense of comfort: the promise of what is to come, and the reassurance that there still remains some predictibility in an unpredictable world.
Amid the stresses of daily life, I take solace in nature and all of the beauty it has to offer.
